Fellows of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines are invited to attend a forum to discuss life insurance valuation standards on April 3, 2014 (Thursday) from 1-5 PM at the IIAP Function Hall (26/F Ayala Life Building, Ayala Ave., Makati).

More specifically, the purpose of this forum is to discuss the recommended approach by the Insurance Commission Ad Hoc Committee and provide comments and suggestions as a body in relation to Section 216 (Title 5 on Reserves) of the Revised Insurance Code (RA 10607) which states that life insurance valuation of all outstanding obligations shall be based according to the standard adopted by the company, as prescribed by the Commissioner in accordance with internationally accepted actuarial standards.
