ASP Membership Information

The Actuarial Society of the Philippines has three membership classes. These are Affiliate, Associate and Fellow. Read through the following section and click on the links for more information regarding this. The ASP also offers an Exam Now Pay Later program to interested and qualified candidates. Affiliate

To be an Affiliate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines, a candidate must pass at least one of the seven SOA Preliminary Exams.

Associate

To be an Associate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (AASP), a candidate must pass all five (seven beginning July 1, 2020) SOA Preliminary Exams, successfully complete the three VEE Requirements and attend the Associateship Admission Course (AAC) administered by the ASP. The exams and VEE requirements may be completed in any order preferred by the candidate, while the AAC may be taken upon passing any of the three SOA preliminary exams.

Fellow

To be a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (FASP), an Associate of the Society must pass the two ASP Fellowship Exams and attend the Fellowship Admission Session (FAS) administered by the ASP. In addition, the Associate must also successfully complete the SOA Fundamentals of Actuarial Practice, FSA Module 1/CAS Online Course 1*, FSA Module 2/CAS Online Course 2* and at least one of the Core SOA/FCAS Fellowship Exams. The fellowship requirements may be completed in any order preferred by the Associate, except for the FAS which may only be taken upon completion of all the other fellowship requirements. Beginning July 1, 2024, if the associateship designation was attained before July 1, 2020, all additional associateship requirements should be completed as well.  

*Requirement credits for CAS Online Courses are currently evaluated. Further clarifications will be provided in the coming months.
