ASP COVID-19 Update #1
The Actuarial Society of the Philippines (ASP) continually monitors the COVID-19 situation and its impact on the administration of both SOA and ASP exams. As we are focused on the health, safety and professional development of our members, the ASP is adjusting the AASP Transition Date and rescheduling the FASP June 2020 Examination Date.
Details are as follows:
A. AASP Exam System Transition Date
- The AASP transition date will change from 1 July 2020 to 1 October 2020 given the SOA’s move to defer the administration of its Spring written-answer exams initially scheduled on April 24-May 5 to Summer 2020 (June-Sep 2020).
B. FASP June 2020 Examination Date
- The June 2020 FASP examination will be rescheduled to a date not earlier than 1 July 2020.
- The first examination season’s date will be published at least 30 days prior to the examination schedule.
- The original exam application deadline of 15 May 2020 will be extended to 15 June 2020.
C. FASP Exam System Transition Date
- There is no adjustment for the 1 July 2024 Fellowship transition date as of this time. If there is further delay to both SOA and ASP exams, the ASP shall likewise re-evaluate the Fellowship transition date.
ASP COVID-19 Update #2
Given the uncertainty and global health threat of COVID-19 pandemic, the P&A Committee, with concurrence of the ASP Board, is deferring the 2nd Quarter General Membership Meeting from 15 May 2020 to July 2020. The exact date will be announced at least a month before the meeting.
As of current, we remain optimistic that the 3rd Quarter General Membership Meeting to be held in Aug/Sep and 2020 Convention in November will proceed as scheduled.
The ASP will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will keep our members and candidates updated of any changes in our meetings, events and exams.
