The 3rd Asia Conference on Risk-Based Capital was recently concluded last March 29-30 at The Peninsula Hotel, Manila with the theme “Getting Ready and Strategic About RBC.” The two-day conference, organized by the Asia Insurance Review and supported by PLIA, PIRA, IIS and ASP, highlighted discussions on the main drivers of RBC, regulatory changes in certain jurisdictions, as well as the ideal of moving from a compliance perspective to actually utilizing RBC in formulating strategies and business decisions. ASP’s Mr. Romeo Abada was one of the panelists during the second day.
