Maria Asuncion De La Fuente – Martin, or Marissa to those who know her, has been in the actuarial industry for more than three decades. An excellent actuary, Marissa is also known as first-rate mentor, training future actuaries throughout her years in the society.

Marissa is currently a Consulting Actuary for the Actuarial Division of the Office of the Insurance Commission. Prior to that, she was the Chief Finance Officer and Treasurer for BPI-Philam Life Assurance Corporation. Marissa has also served under various roles for the Ayala Life Assurance Incorporated such as Officer-in-charge, Business Director and Chief Actuary. She has also worked for Manila Banker Life Insurance Corporation.

Marissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Major in Actuarial Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Santo Tomas. She has a Master of Science degree, major in Mathematics with Actuarial Science as area of concentration, from the University of the Philippines.

Marissa is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines and of the Life Office Management Institute (with distinction).
