Maria Carmela G. Cabading, or Maricar to those who know her, has been in the actuarial industry for almost four decades. Her contributions to the society continues to benefit current and aspiring actuaries.

Maricar is currently a Consulting Actuary at Institutional Synergy (Insync). Prior to that, she was the Senior Consulting Actuary for Towers Watson Philippines, Inc. She has also served as Assistant Vice President and Actuary for the Philippine American Life and General Insurance Company, as President of the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association Inc. and Chairman of the Board for the Armed Forces and Police General Insurance Corporation (AFPGen).

Maricar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Major in Actuarial Science, summa cum laude, from the University of Santo Tomas. She has also completed the Watson Wyatt Harvard Leadership Program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.

Maricar is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines, of the Life Office Management Institute and of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
